Great Practice Games and Practice Today!

I want to thank all of the players and parents for a great 1st Practice.   I really appreciate the help from the parents at practice.   I think you will see that we will have a great year.  We have at least three players who can pitch.  I am sure with a little more practice time, we will find a few more players who can pitch.  Keep up the good work.  I will see you at World of Baseball on Sunday 03/01/09 at 12:00 for some batting practice.    

Practice Time and Date Changes

Please go to the Calender Link to view the changes. Our practice next week was moved to Wednesday 03/04/09 from Thursday 03/05/09. Practice will still start at 5:30 pm. We are scheduled to practice at Cole Elementary on Field 2. Saturday practices will be at 1:00 pm at Cole Elementary Field 3. We are scheduled for Saturdays at 1:00 pm for the entire season.

Opening Day - Change in Schedule!

We will play two 1/2 hour practice games as part of the Opening Day Ceremonies at Century Elementary. The first game will start at 10:30 am and the second will follow at 11:15 am. We still plan to practice at 1:00 pm at Cole Elementary.

Today's Practice

Great 1st practice. I am excited to coach your boys this year. We have a lot of young boys who are playing their 1st year in the minors. We need to work on the boys throwing mechanics and basic fundamentals. Any extra practice at home will really help each player. On Saturday, we will split the players up into groups of three to four players and they will go to several stations (infield, hitting, and outfield) to work on different skills. Parents please feel free to help out. I need as many volunteers as possible. I would also like to get as many of the players as possible to schedule a time on Sunday afternoon to go to World of Baseball and work on their hitting in the batting cages. I would like to meet at World of Baseball at about 12:00 noon.

Practice Tonight : 5:30 pm at Cole Elementary

Just a reminder that we will have our 1st practice tonight at 5:30 pm at Cole Elementary.   Please try to be there about 10 minutes early.   

Team Parent and Scorekeepers Clinic

The Team Parent Meeting and Scorekeepers Clinic has been rescheduled for March 05,2009 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at Garfield Elementary in the MPR building.

The practice on Thursday most likely will not last more than 1 hour.

The practice on Saturday should last about 2 hours.

MINORS AMERICAN DIVISION

Welcome to the Minors American Division.  This recreational level of play includes players 9 and 10 years of age.

Game Days:     Monday / Wednesday

Playing Field:  Cole Elementary School – 615 Stuart, take Helm, North off Bullard between Fwy 168 and Willow

*First Team Listed is the Home Team and is responsible for field set up and take down.
*Home Team is also responsible for providing the Official Scorekeeper.

Game Starting Times:    All games start at 5:45 p.m.
